When a user completes an action, these actions are sometimes referred to as conversions. Enhanced conversion tracking in Site Kit integrates with a limited number of supported WordPress.org plugins.

Once enhanced conversion tracking has been enabled in Site Kit, certain actions from a selection of supported WordPress plugins will be recorded in Google Analytics and/or Google Ads. These events may enhance your Google Ads campaign(s) and allow you to better understand your users behavior via Google Analytics. Detection of the presence and usage of supported plugins is automatically handled by Site Kit based on whether enhanced conversion tracking has been enabled or not.

You can find out more about conversion tracking here.

Enabling enhanced conversion tracking

Enhanced conversion tracking can be enabled from both the Analytics and Ads modules settings sections. These can be accessed from Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services.

The enhanced conversion tracking toggle value will always be the same across both Analytics and Ads. This means that if you enable/disable the toggle in the Ads module, you will also be doing this for Analytics.

Once enhanced conversion tracking is enabled, Site Kit will automatically detect whether there are any supported plugins that are currently active on your site. If there are any supported plugins active, Site Kit will place JavaScript code on the front end of the website to facilitate the collection of additional events.
