NOTE: In January 2023, Google announced that Optimize will no longer be available after September 30, 2023. Experiments and personalizations can continue to run until that date.

The Optimize module will also be removed from the Site Kit plugin on or immediately after September 30, 2023.
Google is currently exploring integrations via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other tools to allow for future A/B testing. If your site is not already using Google Analytics 4, we strongly recommend adding a Google Analytics 4 property as soon as possible. For more information on how Site Kit works with Google Analytics 4, visit this guide.

Page flickers

When conducting an Optimize test via Site Kit, users may see a page flicker where the page first displays original text, then quickly changes to the alternative text set for the Optimize experiment.

To ensure that this flicker does not occur, go to Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Optimize and turn on the toggle for Place anti-flicker snippet on your site, then click Confirm Changes.

  1. Optimize setup or functionality issues within Site Kit
  2. Optimize-related error messages, notices, or warnings within Site Kit
  3. Connecting your Optimize experiment with your Site Kit- connected Google Analytics property

For Optimize-specific questions such as help with creating experiments or troubleshooting Optimize configurations, use the Optimize Resource Hub for assistance. The Site Kit support team does not have access to users’ Optimize accounts and are unable to assist with account-related issues.
